A separate, indicative calculator for the energy you use directly. No guessed tariff, system price or subsidy. Your entries stay in this calculator; nothing is sent as an enquiry.

Scenario preset

Monthly electricity use (kWh)

Use a representative monthly average from your electricity bills, not the bill amount.

Avoided energy tariff (Rs/kWh)

Enter only the energy charge avoided per unit. Exclude fixed and demand charges; do not divide the whole bill by units.

Solar system size (kWp)

Enter a size you want to explore or one from your own installer proposal.

Monthly generation rate (kWh/kWp/month)

110 is an editable illustration within the earlier 100–120 planning assumption, not a local generation guarantee. Replace with a site-specific estimate.

Direct self-use (%)

Share of solar generation used directly while it is produced. Home 50% / business 80% are editable scenarios, not measured usage. Switching preset resets only this share.

Upfront installed price (Rs, optional)

Optional: use your own quoted upfront amount. We do not estimate prices or apply a subsidy.

Annual maintenance (Rs/year, optional)

Optional: leave blank to model Rs 0 maintenance, explicitly. This is not a claim that maintenance is free.

Use plain numbers, without commas, and up to 2 decimal places. Calculator limits are input safeguards, not an assessment of site feasibility.

Start with your actual energy charges.

Add your monthly units, avoided energy tariff and proposed system size. Review the editable assumptions, then calculate.

Only self-used solar energy is valued. Fixed charges, demand charges and export credits are outside this model.
