Solar planning in Durgapur
For an industrial roof, compare solar with the shift schedule before selecting capacity. Roof condition and the way electricity is billed deserve separate checks; a large roof alone is not a feasibility assessment.
Three checks before you size a system.
Separate the shifts
Collect interval consumption data if available, plus shift times, shutdown days and planned equipment changes. Show which processes run in daylight and which continue overnight. Ask the designer to explain how the proposal fits actual operating hours. Include seasonal production changes and the minimum load on quiet days.
Review the structure first
Request a structural review of roof sheets, supports and fixing points before approving a layout. Flag corrosion, fragile areas and existing leaks. Agree safe inspection access and maintenance routes without treating roof photos as engineering sign-off.
Read beyond energy units
Separate energy charges from demand charges and other bill items. Do not assume solar removes contracted demand costs. Ask for the proposal’s billing assumptions, then verify the supplier, connection category and current metering requirements against your own bill.
Check the site. Then the next step.
Share bills, shift details and the site PIN with Brijstar’s Siliguri team. Engineering scope, site access and crew availability need confirmation before a survey is scheduled. This is a planning guide, not an industrial service guarantee.
