Before the proposal · Regional planning
Solar planning in East India
Start with the exact site, state and electricity supplier, not a regional price or system size. For properties across states, keep a separate planning record for every connection; one approval or quote does not establish another site’s eligibility. Keep utility correspondence with each site record so approvals and responsibilities remain traceable.
Three checks before you size a system.
Identify each connection
Record the supplier, consumer category, sanctioned load and meter details from each bill. Ask that supplier for current application and metering requirements. Do not carry a West Bengal process across states or assume a residential scheme applies to business premises.
Check permissions locally
Confirm roof ownership, written permission and any permits with the relevant local authority. Request checks for structure, shade, drainage and safe access. Record who will coordinate the inspection so that missing documents do not become an installation-day problem.
Confirm delivery and support
Ask who would survey, install and maintain the system at that address. Agree travel arrangements, access constraints and support responsibilities in writing. Do not treat a regional enquiry or an online estimate as an accepted installation commitment.
Check the site. Then the next step.
Brijstar is based in Siliguri, with West Bengal as its principal focus. Send the site PIN and brief through contact; coverage beyond that focus needs explicit confirmation before planning a visit.
