Solar planning in Howrah

For a workshop or mixed-use building, start with what runs during daylight and who controls the roof. Separate business consumption from other meters before asking how much solar the site can use.

Three checks before you size a system.

  1. Map the working day

List machines, operating hours and weekly closures alongside recent bills. Distinguish steady daytime loads from equipment used briefly or after sunset. Ask for a design based on this pattern, rather than the workshop’s total connected load alone. Note whether tenants share a meter; their usage and permissions need to be understood separately.

  2. Settle common-roof use

For a common roof, get the owner’s permission and agree which connection benefits. Mark storage, vents and walkways on roof photos. Keep access for repairs and material handling in the brief; panel area is not the only constraint.

  3. Make cable safety part of scope

Ask a qualified electrician to assess cable routes away from moving equipment, wet areas and hot surfaces. Include protection and isolation in the proposal. Check the supplier on the bill before discussing application and metering requirements.

Check the site. Then the next step.

Share operating hours, roof photos and the site PIN with Brijstar’s Siliguri team. Site feasibility, survey availability and installation scope need confirmation before scheduling work. A planning enquiry does not reserve a local crew.
